The clinical, hematologic, and histologic features of acute megakaryoblastic leukemia are described for an 8-year-old female Domestic Shorthair cat, a 3-year-old female mixed-breed dog, and a 3-year-old male German Shepherd Dog. The neoplastic cells were characterized as belonging to the megakaryocytic lineage. We present a case report of megakaryocytic leukemia in a 2-year-old male Afghan dog that was anorexic and had progressive weakness in the rear legs.
